Security in the supply?
Computers are called upon to process data continuously and depend totally on their power supply. Mains disturbances and failures have a great impact and may lead to a complete loss of non-stored data, break in research and analysis projects or stop in automation processes.

APOSTAR AR
The APOSTAR AR systems supply and protect small networks and PC workgroups, communication systems, commercial and scientific computer systems, intelligent engineering measuring devices and industrial automation equipment.

APOSTAR is a true double-conversion on-line UPS!
This principle guarantees superior security and protection as mains failures will not have any impact on the loads connected to the output.

This means:
- Changes in voltage and/or frequency at the input or load changes at the output will not affect the voltage quality at the connected loads.
- There is no break in the output when changing to battery mode.
- The battery is not discharged for input voltage variations of +20% to -20%. Prolonging battery life by minimising battery usage.
- An integrated uninterruptible bypass, electronically switched increases redundancy and availability.

- Additionally the APOSTAR AR3 has an internal event recorder which will report past events in chronological order together with the status of the mains supply.

Simple Operation

APOSTAR AR1
Two LED bar graphs display the load and battery condition at a glance. All important events and the operational modes are displayed using multi-coloured light emitting diodes.

Compatibility
Due to its innovative technique PILLER APOSTAR AR systems are extremely small, quiet and economical to operate. Therefore integration into the system which is to be protected, and its environment is easily achievable.

Cost Effectiveness
The intelligent battery manager of the APOSTAR AR3 guarantees the best possible use of battery capacity by automatic adjustment of final discharge voltage. The temperature controlled charging current ensures a long battery life.

Flexibility
Expansion easily possible - even at a later stage, eg:
- Extension of the autonomy by adding additional battery modules,
- Compatibility with network environments.

The APOSTAR AR3 furthermore offers:
- Increased power with parallel operation,
- Increased reliability using N+1 redundant operation.

Communication
For an easy integration into your environment the APOSTAR AR1 and the APOSTAR AR3 are as standard equipped with a serial RS-232 interface and voltage-free contact (except the AR1-3 open collector contacts).

This enables the APONET Power Shut-Down Software and other intelligent consumers to communicate directly with the UPS.
Connecting an optional "SNMP-adapter" also allows direct connection to network management systems.
